At Marvellous Mirrors we have a mission. To brighten up any home around the world with our handmade trendy mirrors. Looking in the mirror is a great happening. Despite what mood you're in or how you look. We want to share this feeling with our unique mirror designs.
Marvellous Mirrors started from the love of hand making trendy wall mirrors. And to make a welcome change in the overflowing mass production market. As a high end furniture making business we already found out the influence of a wall mirror. Seeing many hotel rooms, homes, restaurants we got a feeling of the difference a mirror can make to a living area. We decided that designing and making mirrors should be our core business as we have something different to offer.
Our collection of trendy mirrors covers a wide range of designs; it is very diverse. We make art mirrors, mirrors for children's rooms and themed mirrors. But our range also consists of large wall art.
We develop not only our own ideas but also create from custom requests.
Our homebase is Beverwijk, The Netherlands. In our workshop we develop and make our ideas. All our projects and plans are created here. At the front of our workshop we display our mirrors in a gallery.
We are a small family business and we have quite a history together. In 2001 we met each other on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Nanda was backpacking and Marcus was working as a furniture maker on this paradise island. Soon we found out not only had a love for New Zealand but also for art.
“I have a Bachelor of Art Honors degree at Brunel University in Furniture Design and Craftmanship. Design and making bespoke furniture is my passion”.
I am also freelance photographer. I do this free for charities and some magazines. Exercise is very important to me, so every day before work I have a bike ride in the rural area near our home. It is a great way to clear my head and to start a new day”.
Nanda is the Marketing and Communications Advisor for Marvellous Mirrors.
"I also use my writing and communication skills for a Dutch non-profit organization: Olijf. A network for women with gynecological cancer.
I am an editor for the magazine as well as for the website. Besides writing I also enjoy reading books. I also love running and my dream and goal is to run a marathon in 2017. I think that would be amazing!"
